SchoolRock, Inc. was founded in 2006 by Stacey Lloyd, a professional, wife and mother of two children. The corporation was started shortly after PreschoolRock.com expanded to become what is now the first and largest parenting network on the Internet dedicated to parents and teachers of preschoolers. Since it's creation, Executive Editor, Stacey Lloyd has grown the network to over 30 websites.
In June, 2007, Lloyd founded the Preschool Rock Moms Internet radio show to "put a voice to the wonderful content on PreschoolRock.com". The radio show is produced and hosted by Stacey Lloyd and co-hosted by PreschoolRock.com Associate Editor, Joanna Young.
New for 2008, SchoolRock, Inc. launched two licensed programs for children 2 to 5 years old. Described as "potty training with a musical twist", the Potty Rockers™ licensed program provides a positive, rewardig environment for getting children on the path to becoming diaper-free. The Preschool Rock Paper Scissors licensed program incorporates art history, art theory, hands-on crafts and open arts and crafts exploration to children ages 3 to 5.
Children are as individual and as different as their parents. Making decisions about what’s best for raising children is very personal. We believe that parents know what's best for their children and family based on their own values, circumstances and lifestyle. There are some useful universal principles for everyone, but the "right" solution changes from situation to situation and from family to family. We see our role as providing information that can help parents with the day-to-day decisions of raising children. We strive to give parents the tools they need to effectively engage their children and make the decisions that are best for their family.
SchoolRock, Inc. caters to everyone from the casually browsing parent to parents seeking on-the-spot help or advice. Our resources and programs are for mothers, fathers, grandparents, teachers and anyone else who cares for children. We aim to meet the needs of a wide range of parents, from the just curious, to those looking for assistance with particular problems or issues, to those wanting great ideas for things to do with their children. In addition to information support for parents, we aim to be a place where parents can interact with other parents, specialists, and professionals.
In addition to being a service to parents, SchoolRock, Inc. was also created for the wide range of professionals, businesses and agencies who work with or provide services or products to parents. We encourage the interaction between these sources and parents to bring to the forefront resources that may be helpful to parents in raising healthy, happy children. We are always seeking partnerships with businesses that are most useful to the parents that frequent our network and Internet radio show.
